After completion of his college course in May 2009, it is intended that Stewart would be with us full time from June 2009 to June 2012.

Join us in Second Comber on the 21st June - experience a full day of Puppet Ministry training workshops, feature performances, competitions and spiritual inspiration.

Our workshop topics will include:

• Basic Puppetry Skills
• Advanced Puppetry Skills
• Solo Puppetry
• Ventriloquism
• Puppets in the Community
• Props, scenery, lighting, sound
• Creative dance, mime

All children, parents, friends, members of the congregation are most welcome and afterwards we will enjoy a cup of tea/juice together.

Can you help us?

We are looking for anyone who would be interested in helping with work with children and ypung people during the summer months. We are having a Holiday Bible Club for children of primary school age from 18th to 22nd August; and also hoping to organise some outreach for teenagers. Neither of these can happen without your help!

If you feel you can help out in ANY way, please put your name on the sheet located at the coffee bar!

Tickets are now available and may be obtained at any time from members of the Catering Corps or Roberta Murdock. Adults £10.00, children £5.00. We ask you to book tickets as soon as possible, but no later than Sunday 17th February please.

Members of the committee will be working in teams on Saturday 2nd February from 9.30 am onwards to clean the halls etc; members of the congregation are encouraged to join with them.

If you wish to be involved please speak to Nathan Todd (Congregational Secretary) as sooon as possible so final preparations can be made.

Note that this date is the re-arranged schedule for this exercise after the 19th January was ruled out.

Our friends at Strand Presbyterian Church are having a concert on 23rd Feburary; here's the detail...

Strand Presbyterian Church, in association with New Irish Arts, are staging a concert by The New Irish Chamber Choir and Band in Knock Presbyterian Church, on Saturday 23rd February 2008 at 7.30pm. Tickets are £12.50 with a £10.00 concession ticket for senior citizens and students. The Minister, Kirk Session and Congregational Committee of 2nd Presbyterian Church, Comber, deeply regret the death of our dear friend and member of our Ministerial Team, Rev. Dr. Tom Reid, and extend our sympathy to his wife Anne, son Gavin, daughter Karen, and the family circle.

A quick note to publicise our 'Christians in Sport' service - a great opportunity to invite others along to Church.

The service will take place on Sunday 25th November at 6:30 pm where Glenn Ross - the current UK strongest man and former Doorman will share his story. The event is, of course, free of charge and everyone is welcome!

UPDATE - thanks to all who came along on Sunday night past for the Christians in Sport - it was great to have a packed hall & listen to what Glenn had to say to us.

Make a date in your diary, it always a great afternoon with plenty of craic; the fun starts at 2pm!

If you can supply Cakes, Grocercies, Bric-a-Brac, Knitted garments, etc for the stalls please let us know; if you send it we can sell it!

This is to celebrate our Crosslink Project- and the work done to date; we encourage you all to come along on Friday evening; Saturday morning/afternoon - or on Sunday afternoon to see the exhibit!

Thanks to all who helped out at the Flower Festival weekend, and of course thank you to those who came along to see the wonderful display! Have you any comments - we'd love to hear from you!

The Service will take place on the Saturday at 2.30pm; lead by the Moderator of the General Assembly, The Rt. Rev. Dr. David Clarke. All members of the congregation are encourgaed to attend; and friends/family are also most welcome!
